Asian vs. American made lockbolts.
Regarding Asian vs. American made lockbolts. At this point, I still recommend that users buy American. While Chinese manufacturers appear to have mastered the C6 lockbolt. I have yet to see a good quality Asian manufactured Magna-grip lock-bolt. In this picture, I have placed a Chinese Magna-grip lock-bolt on the left opposed to a Huck brand Maga-grip fastener on the right (on my optical comparator). Although the geometry appears correct on the import lock-bolt, the threads on the fastener are not properly formed. Likely because the rolling die was worn out. Some of these poor quality fasteners have already made their way into the American market. I am positive this has lead to many premature jaw failures.
